What a finished funnel looks like
Every funnel is different, because each one is written from the seller's own product and answers. Here is one that Warm Welcome wrote for a seller of an email marketing course. Only the names have been changed.

Yours will not be these. Your free gift and your five emails are written from your product and your own stories, so nobody else has them.
The blank welcome email
You have something to sell. You know you are supposed to have an email list, a free gift to get people onto it and a series of emails that welcomes them.
So you open a blank page to write the first email, and nothing comes.
Or you buy a pack of ready-made emails. They arrive in minutes, and they read like it. The same emails went to everyone else who bought the pack, about a life that is not yours and a product that is not quite yours either. Your new subscriber has seen them before.
Or you ask an AI to write them, and it hands you a confident story about a customer you never had and a result you never got.
None of those is an email from you.
What Warm Welcome does
Warm Welcome is a funnel builder that starts with you.
You paste a link.
It reads the sales page of what you sell, your own product or one you promote as an affiliate, and shows you what it found so you can correct anything it got wrong.
You answer questions.
It interviews you, one question at a time. Questions like these:
- Why did you start selling this? What was happening at the time?
- Who was the first person it helped, and what did they say?
- What's the most expensive mistake you've made that you can laugh about now?
- Who said something to you, maybe in passing, that you've never forgotten?
Short answers are fine. "I don't remember" is a fine answer. If a question is not clear, you ask what it means and it tells you.
It writes your funnel.
It plans the emails, shows you the plan, writes each email, and checks every personal detail against what you actually said before it lets the email through.
Set aside about an hour, start to finish. Most of that is you answering questions. You can stop at any point and come back; your answers are saved.
What you get
- A free gift for new subscribers. It suggests three that would suit your product, such as a checklist, a short how-to guide or a template. You pick one, or describe your own, and answer two or three short questions so it is filled with what you know. You get it laid out as a page you can save as a PDF.
- The words for your sign-up page. A headline, a subheadline, bullet points, the button text and a privacy line.
- Five welcome emails, one for each of the first five days, each with a subject line, preview text and alternative subject lines.
- Your story library. The stories from your interview, saved so you can use them again.
- Everything in the format you need. Copy buttons on every email, a Word document of the whole funnel, a file for each email, and a spreadsheet for platforms that import.
- Step-by-step guides for getting it live in Systeme.io, Kit, MailerLite or ActiveCampaign.
You can edit any email on the page. Change one or two the way you like them, and it can make the same kinds of change to the rest.
One payment. 30-day money-back guarantee.
Why it is different
- Nobody else has your emails.
- They are built from the moments you describe in the interview, so a new subscriber hears from you, not from a pack that went to everyone else who bought it.
- That is why nothing is made up.
- It never invents a story, a detail, a customer, a result, a quote or a guarantee. If a detail is not in your answers, it leaves it out. If an email still says something it could not find in what you told it, that email is marked for you to check, in plain words, and never hidden.
- It says so when it borrows.
- Some emails use a short true story about someone else, from a collection that has been checked against its sources. Those are always told as someone else's story, never as yours.
- It only says what your product does.
- It shows you a list of what it thinks your product includes, you confirm it line by line, and the emails claim nothing beyond that list.

- It changed my whole business. Then it stopped working.
Hi {{first_name}},
For about ten years, I got up at 05:00 every Thursday morning so that a room full of other business owners could find me work.
That room was a BNI chapter in London. BNI is a business networking group, and its members pass each other referrals.
I'd never have gone if someone I knew hadn't told me I should go along. I was already doing networking locally in Essex and getting good results, and he reckoned I'd do even better at his chapter in London, because people there had bigger budgets.
So I went along as a visitor.
I remember walking in and thinking I was suddenly in a room with serious business owners, rather than hobby businesses like Utility Warehouse.
There was already a web designer in the group, so I couldn't promote web design. I knew that before I went, and I wasn't bothered. I was already promoting Google Ads management a bit by then, so that's what I promoted.
Then Simon Hart gave me a referral.
At my very first meeting, while I was still only a visitor.
Read the whole email
It was for his girlfriend, who ran a catering business.
I hadn't even joined yet!
I'd say BNI changed my whole business. It brought me lots of Google Ads work, and those Thursday mornings became a big part of my routine for years.
But slowly, the referrals stopped coming.
There wasn't one particular meeting when I noticed. It was a gradual thing, until BNI wasn't really bringing me work any more.
So I switched to a new chapter.
Did the referrals come back?
Not really.
I think I know why. By that time, people had given me all the easy referrals.
What I hadn't quite clocked was what else had been happening alongside BNI. For a while, I'd been building an email list.
And by then, that list was where most of my business came from.
So I left BNI and focused on building my list instead.
That word "easy" is the bit I'd want any broker or adviser to think about.
The easy referrals come from people who already know you. The people in that chapter knew me, so when someone they knew needed Google Ads, mine was the name they passed on. But everyone who knows you only knows so many people who need you. Once they've passed those names on, there aren't any more to pass.
If you've found yourself texting past clients to ask whether they know anyone who needs a mortgage, you may be getting close to the end of your own easy referrals.
A list doesn't depend on who your clients happen to know. It lets people who have never met you get to know you, a few emails at a time, so that by the time they ring, they already feel they know you. And because that takes weeks rather than days, the time to start a list is while the referrals are still coming in.
That kind of list starts with a form on your own website, next to a free guide, where a visitor can download the guide and join. The Email Marketing for Mortgage Brokers & IFAs Course Bundle has lessons on adding exactly those opt-in forms to your website. Have a look at the course here.
Bye for now,
Barry
PS – If you haven't opened it yet, the one-page email funnel map is here {{LEAD_MAGNET_LINK}}.
Page two is a quick tick-list of what you've already got, like your own website and the advice people want, and the one piece that's missing: a way for visitors to get to know you before they pick up the phone.
And when you want to build that piece yourself, on your own website, the course shows you how.

Bullet points
- Why clients choose the adviser they already feel they know, and why bought leads skip that step entirely
- The three pieces of an email funnel, each explained in one plain line: a free guide, follow-up emails that send themselves, and a link to book an appointment
- A tick-list that shows which pieces you already have (if you've got your own website and the advice people want, that's most of it)
- Written for mortgage brokers and IFAs, and you don't need any marketing knowledge to follow it

It is for you if
- you sell a course, an ebook, a template, coaching or any other product, or you promote one as an affiliate;
- you want new subscribers to hear from a real person;
- you would sooner answer questions for the best part of an hour than write five emails from nothing.
It is not for you if
- you have nothing to sell yet. Warm Welcome needs a product to write about;
- you want emails in a language other than English;
- you want something that sends the emails for you. It writes them. You put them into your own email platform, and the guides show you how.
The price
$27
One payment. That builds one welcome funnel, for one product.
A pack of ready-made emails is the same emails everyone else who bought it has. For $27 you get a free gift, the words for your sign-up page and five welcome emails written from your own stories.
The price you see is the price you pay. Where sales tax or VAT applies, it is already included.
The 30-day guarantee
If you are not happy, ask for your money back within 30 days and you will get all of it. The funnel that purchase paid for is then removed from your account. Read the refund policy.
Questions
- Do I need to be a good writer?
- No. You answer questions in your own words, a line or two at a time. The writing is done for you, and you can change anything you do not like.
- What if I cannot think of any stories?
- Most people think that. The interview is built for it. When you are stuck it asks a smaller, easier question, and when you have nothing it moves on.
- Do I have to share anything personal?
- No. It never raises subjects like illness, loss or divorce. If you bring one up yourself, it asks whether you want it in your emails and only uses it if you say yes.
- Will it work with my email platform?
- If your platform lets you paste in an email and send a series automatically, yes. There are step-by-step guides for Systeme.io, Kit, MailerLite and ActiveCampaign.
- Does it build my sign-up page?
- It writes the words. You build the page in your email platform or on your website.
- I am an affiliate. Can I use it?
- Yes. Tell it the product is one you promote, and it adds a short line after your link in each email so your readers know you are paid if they buy.
- Will this make me money?
- We cannot promise that, and we do not. You get a set of emails. What happens next depends on your product, your audience and many other things. Read the earnings disclaimer.
- Is there anything else to buy?
- Not to get what is on this page. You are offered two optional extras, one before you pay and one straight after. You can say no to both and your welcome funnel is complete.
- What happens to my answers?
- They are yours. They are used only to write your funnel, never in anyone else's, and you can delete them from your account at any time.
- How do I sign in?
- There is no password. We email you a sign-in link whenever you need one.
